Projection Mapping uses everyday video projectors, but instead of projecting on a flat screen (e.g. to display a PowerPoint), light is mapped onto any surface, turning common objects of any 3D shape into interactive displays. More formally, projection mapping is “the display of an image on a non-flat or non-white surface”.
Thinking outside of the box for creative ideas is one of our biggest strengths. Ask for a concept and let us surprise you with what we can come up to you! If you already have an idea and you’re looking for a high skilled team to accomplish your vision, please, you’re always welcome to contact us!
Projection mapping can be used for advertising, live concerts, theater, gaming, computing, car shows, events decoration, retail product info, and anything else you can think of.
In 2016, we start our project with video mapping. As great admirers of visual arts and technology we fell in love for this technique that consists in projecting video onto objects or uneven surfaces, such as big structures, building facades and statues (the projection can be done in 360 degrees). Using a specialized software, objects of two or three dimensions are formed virtually, and from that information the software interacts with projectors (beamers) of high definition to adapt any image to the surface of the chosen object. We can say that there is a reconstruction of the real space that we see by adding visuals as a virtual space. With this technique we can create extra dimensions, optical illusions and visuals of motion in static objects. Video mapping can be used to advertising campaigns, shows and art interventions.
